June Photography Competition - Discussion Thread

The theme this month is "flight", anything from insects to fighter jets and everything in between!

Discussion below please.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say this, but 4hero please don't enter the picture you captured of the bee in flight above the yellow flowers, I've previously mentioned how much I love that photo so it would be a little bias

Great theme, I'm sure one (or two!) of those brilliant fighter jet training shots from Wales will make it in!

So can I go one (or two!) steps above a fighter jet with this...



No so much flying as being shoved violently into the sky, but it caught my attention!

The theme also gives me an excuse to post this:



Technically poor, lacking in focus and sharpness, attempted recovery by B/W conversion and excess processing, but still my favourite plane!

I could crop this tighter but I think the surroundings do add to the "feeling", or is that rubbish....

Don't think so, that's for the 'challenge', the competition is for anything... I think! If not all of mine are out!

Competition is any shot from any time, challenge is taken that month.

I only have 1 photo which may be any good, just a hoverfly in flight

I have a slightly different take on flight here...might sit this month out though.

I have 2 men in flight plus a magpie thrown in for good luck!




And a Cinnabar Moth just taking flight
