My daughter was in the pub and some lads were verbally w*nking over various potential blingwagens.
Somehow the topic changed to 'what car does your boring old fart of a dad drive'.
'A TVR', says Trace, at which point jaws drop... 'Er, and a Lotus....'says she, wandering off to the bar.

Driving down a busy M1 on my way home from Bruntinthorpe last year.
Heavy traffic, raining, and I'm sat in the middle lane. Left hand drive car pulls alongside in outside. Drivers window down. Car then drops back, pulls in behind, pulls into inside lane, passenger window now goes down. Traffic stops and windows go. Traffic starts, window goes down and passenger leans out of window and cups hand to ear. This is repeated everytime the traffic stops and restarts.
Finally traffic start flowing abit better and they pull out an overtake. All four occupants of the French registered vehicle wave and give thumbs up as they go past.

Took my younger brother (15) & sister (16) out in my recently purchased Tamora yesterday afternoon!
My sister preferred it to my boyfriend's Griff (sure that will get some reaction!)
And my brother wanted all of his school mates to see it...so off we went to the bit of Sevenoaks where the cool dudes hang out!!
There they were...his mates in a group, another bunch of slightly older guys a little bit further up with some little mopeds revving the hell out of them and posing!!
And my brother is pleading with me to make an impact (quite a challenge as the road up to them has a speed hump in it - a hazard I had only experienced earlier that day being a new owner!!)
...but we managed it and got screams of excitement from his mates and impressed
looks by the gang next door followed by rather sheepish looks down to the floor when they realised how inadequate their own 'assets' were in comparison!!
Oh and a similarly loud / fast exit...
I know, I know, very juvenile for a 32 yr old but forgive and indulge me - I couldn't help grinning!!!

Picked the chim up this pm after a 4 week separation, driving through a village near home, slow down to turn....cue splendid pops and bangs. Group of 6 or so youths standing at the junction, one lad says 'wow, a TVR, give it some' so I gladly progressed up the road 'at pace' (to quote Chim Girl).
BTW must admit I had forgotten how much fun the tiv is to drive after not having it for 4 weeks, I was smiling all the way home
Edited for not making sense

She loves it to bits, can't you tell. Should have turned up in the Griff and made more NOISE!!
Had a recruitment weasel phone me up whilst driving in to work today. I floored it to about 130 in 4th (kph, officer
) on the slip road with the agent going "that sounds like one hell of a motorbike that just overtook you". Had to set him straight on the difference between a 600cc lawnmower, and a TVR manufactured V8 at full pelt.
