A German friend/client of ours is visting some of his customers in France next week, and wants to meet up with us on the Sat in the circuit, stay over night and leave Sunday. Does anybody have any suggestions of where abouts he could park for the night, either around the circuit or in town so he could tram in?

If you wanted to sit and watch the racing all night, pretty sure you can get into the free car parks by Arnage and Indianapolis corner and up at Mulsanne corner without showing any sort of ticket.

You should then be able to get an entry ticket for which ever corner you end up at on the gate there (don't hold me to that though...)

I believe that's changed now and you need a seperate parking ticket for Mulsanne, Indi etc...

There is a multi storey car park next to Le Mans train station and also a tram stop at the station. From memory I think its about 8 euros for 24 hours.

Correct. You need a ticket for all carparks now. My Arnage parking ticket was all of 8 or 10 euros though.

Does any official carpark pass get you in to Arnage and Mulsanne? I am in parking blanc and in previous years we've just been able to drive straight into those carparks.

Being honest I couldn't tell you 100% as I haven't been there for a few years. I'm not staying on site so don't have a camping pass, the car parking tickets weren't expensive so i thought it safer to buy them than risk being turned away.

I've just had a look on the ACO website and it doesn't say anything (or I couldn't see anything) about extra tickets to park there so I'll do my normal thing and go there anyway smile

This has been discussed a few times since they were introduced two years ago, but the Arnage and Mulsanne car parks are "officially" parking pass only on the Saturday night/Sunday race day. I ordered mine same time as the GE tickets last October, as they sell out very quickly, as I found out the previous year. I can understand that Arnage maybe needs it, but the parking area at Mulsanne is huge. Anyway they were 8 Euros for access to both.

Hmmm, maybe the reason I can't see any sign online is that they have sold out!

I bought mine through http://www.tickets-2-u.com they don't have them listed on their site so it may be worth a call to them to see if they have any left.

Thanks for that, will give them a call tomorrow and at the least maybe they can clarify if I will definately need them smile I would imagine that a certain amount would be on sale at the circuit for the daytrippers, fingers crossed anyway
