Wow. That's perhaps a step too advant-garde for me, but quite a creation.

Have you seen a Morgan Aeromax up close Italo? That's modest in comparison, but still does the art deco thing beautifully.

I want that so so so much. It is amazing. Remids me of this 2cv hot rod effort.

Got any more info on this? All I have are the same photos from a French 2CV forum

Not really, I know it was made entirely of 2cv componants. The rear helmets are made from 2 pairs of rear wings and the back is made from a pair of side panels, hence the fuel filler holes. Bog standard 2cv sus allows the back to look like it is and it has a standard engine and gearbox. I imagine with the extra wieght it isn't very hot rod to drive but the owner has put a fair amount of time chopping the roof and building it up, but a lot of time still needs to be spent on it. I have seen photos of the interior and the clocks, gear lever and steering are all standard 2CV but stipped down and looking very bare..

Once and it looks great as an Art Deco sportscar.

LOL - as opposed to the original, almost baroque, fittings...

Sorry, should have been clearer: was able to deconstruct components but wondered who built it etc., and whether there's a website

Excellent! Thanks for this - saw this in the SEMA coverage but couldn't find a name or builder. Their website has pretty comprehensive gallery; REALLY like the screen / roof solution. Still need to do some digging as to what screen & roof is from, 'cos sure don't look like a Scout...

Ta - will have a read

PS see what you mean about the interior - the builders removed that simply HUGE IP with, what?, coupla' buttons and a few warning lights, and moved the dial to the centre.

Have you seen this car before?

It's called The Flier, it's 2CV based and it was created by former Hawk fabricator Greg Murrell. There were rumours of it making production as a kit, but I guess that never happened. It was shown at Exeter kit car show in 2007 or 2008 and the concept looked superb.

Not a kit as such, but I saw this rendering this morning at it made me think of some of the cars on this thread:

Can't say it's entirely to my taste, but might be of interest!
