Finally, the Cerb goes round corners.

Awesome difference between what it had (Front AVOs, mis-matched standard dampers & springs at the back), and what Joolz has managed to get out of it with Springs and Nitrons.

It's great being able to set up the Cerb for a corner, and not to have to calculate different trajectories for the front and the back.

Thanks Joolz, and if anyone is in any doubt, it's a massive improvement in driveability, so go for it!

Excellent! I've never heard of anyone being disappointed with Nitrons. I went to see Guy at Nitron last week (as I live about 500 yds away) and he really is top bloke..

Spent the weekend playing with the settings on mine. It's now absolutley perfect for our English B roads, softening up a few notches made a hell of a difference!

Neil,

you were spotted by my Bro in Law late Saturday morning going through LB - probably to fill up with Optimax before your jaunt in the countryside.

How much do a set of nitrons cost?

We were only out in the wet, so I haven't experimented, but Joolz said they're about 4 clicks from fully SOFT, rear anti-roll bar is off.

Yep, echo that. Hugely impressed with the new setup, definitely a big improvement. Have to post some new pics of the car with the new wheels now though.

Hey you guys ..
would be very interested in what you think long term on that TL and SG .. seeing as you sound quite handy behind the wheel I'd welcome any feedback you can offer, and any changes you think would be an improvement. .. always looking to refine the Joospeed kits that little bit further from the opposition

Nitron : Ohlins performance at half the cost .. Bargain!!

Hey Joolz!

Great job - thanks! Just wondering though - is there actually much difference in the performance between Nitrons and Ohlins? We were debating that one yesterday and it'd be good to know for sure.

We'll have a think about improvements (other than moving your workshop closer to South Bucks, and making all Cerbs immune to the attentions of scameras/trafpols!) and let you know. In the meantime, I have a letter to write for you, so I'll be in touch later.

Thanks again!

The nitron is virtually the same perfromance as a penske / ohlins / etc .. when tested they all display characterisitics of high quality dampers, good viscosity control from monotube design, large piston area for accurate resistance control, low nose force for good ride and suppleness etc.

I originally ran mine at 10 clicks off hard, but found it skittish over rough ground. Reset that at 13 off hard and it was much better.

This weekend I set them to 16 off hard and the difference was unbelievable! B roads hold no fear, it doesn't tramline or go off course over the bumps, just rides them in a controlled manner.

yup, on the road softer is defo the way to go. like i always say .. use the *minimum* damping to get the job done!

On track of course you can wind it up and get it feeling better

Ay carumba! No wonder mine feels a bit solid, I've got them set to only 6 clicks off fully hard.

Perhaps some adjustment might be in order

Dont forget that Ohlins might be bringing out a new sub £1K set up for the cerbera very soon.

Another satisfied customer here!

Picked up my car from TopCats on Friday, fitted with a full set of Nitrons. Wow, it is a different car! I immediately had so much more feel for what the car was doing and it's far more predicatable. It's been raining everytime I've been out since, but I have more traction, more security and I can drive in a straight line on a B road. It just feels so much more of a complete car

Absolutely fantastic, what everyone else has said is true. If you're thinking about it - don't. JFD!

You can't leave it at that! What did that information come from? Any more where that came from?
