Buying XKR - Wheres best to insure it ?
Discussion
Hi Folks
I am jumping out of my TVR and into a Jaguar XKR, late 99 car. Its been a big decision but the time is right.
So I am 38, live in Devon & have 2 company cars with loads of company no claims. TVR was always classic car insurance for 10 years.
Best quote so far is footman James at £440 at 4500 miles "soon to be classic policy"
So is that good, or can i get better elsewhere ?
Thanks very much

I have always used peter best. My renewal for my XJR just came through, just under £200. I think it's mainly low because it's parked in a locked garage. That's on a second car/classic type policy though, I don't earn no claims but I am allowed to drive it to work.

I have been using Adrian Flux since I got my XKR and as Mark Gregory states I get around 15% discount for being a member of the XKEC.
The good thing about AF is that you can declare all of your MODS without it having much effect on the price.
Actually just renewed mine and it went up by £15 from last year.
