Whilst having a great hoon around the Forest Of Bowland yesterday in the sunshine , my number 2 fan stuck on. Both whilst driving and also with the ignition switched off. I was concerned that whilst parked up my battery would soon go flat with the load of the 30amp fan. So popped Fuse 15, which stopped it, suspected the relay had stuck but easier to pop the fuse rather than the relay. X-works fixed it later in the day, it was the relay but another cause apparantly can the trinary switch on the air con.

I was lucky 'cos I was carrying the Convertible/Mk3 fuse/relay diagram, new owners may not realise their handbooks are in fact for Targa Mk2s and the layouts are different. So I thought I'd post it up again.

Quiet true about the Trinary switch it's design is to trip no2 fan in if A/C gets to hot but if theres a wiring problem/switch this will cause the fan to stay on.
Having a wiring diagram handy is dedicated hehe
