Unfortunately it would seem that my regular repair garage has stopped being quite as good as they used to be.

For naming and shaming reasons, I obviously won't mention them, plus I don't want to incur the evil wrath of those that run to teacher...

Unfortunately my main pedandic weakness when it comes to dealing with other businesses and services is if they don't call back, or say they will call back with an update and don't, or say they will do something at a certain time, then don't, I will no longer do business with them. It really pisses me off as if they can't be arsed to even keep the customer updated, then they don't think much of the customer.

So I am looking for a trusted, preferably independant recommended garage services in the Bracknell / Sandhurst area - I am looking for people that have actually used them before rather than "heard from a mate that they are good"

Car is nothing special - Corsa so just looking for basic garage services.

Any recommendations out there? smile

The garage I use are part of this, and tried to overcharge me for an alternator that is £90-£110 from any autofactors, £80 online. They tried to charge £216 saying that it was £300+ non exchange rolleyes

Even direct from Vauxhall they are only £125 (I checked), so don't appriciate being lied to again and again... good garage scheme doesn't mean much it would seem.

He has magically found them now for around the prices I am finding them at.

Teacher teacher! I know a good garage in the Bracknell area but I'm not allowed to tell you!

This sort of 'service' from main dealers is common place these days - I use an indy where I can. How hard is it to inform and update the customer?

Sadly this is not a main dealer frown It was a trusted indy (a large one) that I have used for a while. Standards are slipping.

I will be rating them later when I get the car back - where does the rating go - back to the garage or to the scheme administration?
