Forza 3 Car Packs...

Will people stop fking moaning about them.
That "Forza 3 Info" thread is just filled with the new pics and details of the packs and then endless comments of "we went Escorts etc.", yes, I agree it would be nice; but hey it probably won't happen.
If you don't like them, don't buy them. I for one am glad that T10 are bothering to make more packs.

Agreed! I am glad they are releasing car packs frequently and fully utilizing the DLC service ... Forza 2 had very little in the way of car packs and as a result, my interest wavered onto other games in my collection. The more cars the better, imho!

I'm still looking forward to the car pack that contains the Escort & Sierra Cosworth though

Depends on what you class as content.

When they bring out a pack of R class racing cars, there are moans that there are no normal cars or road cars
When they bring out a pack of sports saloons, coupes and hatches, there are moans that there are no racing cars
When they bring out any pack, there are moans that it isn't a track, 180SX or short tail McLaren F1
When they bring out a track pack, there are moans that there are no cars.

T10 can't win, but I'd rather have the option to get another 10 cars or a track each month than nothing. If you don't like a pack, don't buy it.

You're entitled to your opinion, you're wrong, but you are entitled to it.
But it's pointless to keep adding those comments (I'm not insinuating it's just you doing it!) to every new post about car packs.
I'd sooner have new "st" cars than no more...

why the hell do i want the ford fusion, or a big mondeo or any of the weak stuff they've stuck in the dlc?

there has been some great cars (Nissan GTR, Mosler, radical etc) but some serious crap too!

there are SO many great cars with racing pedigree that belong in this game, but are ignored, and yet they choose some utter poo.

this is all MHO, however i wish the cars were available on an individual price, so you could pick an choose what you download for your 500 m/s points...

i will take a look at the cars in DLC so far and let you know which ones have been amazing, and which ones utter tripe.

Do you think they just randomly pick cars? Just because people in the UK don't want them doesn't mean the rest of the world wont.

Car packs are great but theres lots of cars that are not needed i think we could have had 1/2 less car packs and had them weaker cars removed, saving us cash, i think the total cost of forza 3 DLC at the moment is like 20-30 pounds, if you think thats ok, then your simply idiotic, we shouldnt have to pay 30 pounds for a few cars, thats not right in anyones eyes.

Each DLC pack is 400 MS Points, which equates to approximately £3.43. Now in my opinion, that's not bad value considering each pack contains 10 cars, all of which painstakingly mapped out in 3D (See some of the behind-the-scenes videos Turn10 published!).

You have the choice as to whether you purchase the DLC pack or not ... If you fancy the Mosler and Radical, buy the 'Exotic Car Pack'. If you're not keen some of the more mundane cars, don't buy the 'Road & Track Pack.

To be fair, I personally think the Forza 3 DLC packs are better value than MW2 - 5 maps, 2 rehashed from the previous game for 1200MS points (£10.28!) ... Ouch!

I have bought most packs, but if you buy the points online im sure its more expensive than shops, if not my bad, i have the packs i like the sound of, the radical alone is worth the fee, but some packs are a tad dire, but as you say buy the ones you like then you cant be disapointed. I still think they shouldnt be as expensive as they are though, there should be a fee of about 10 pounds that guarantees all future DLC as free with a minimum ammount of DLC pack's agreement with turn 10 (ensuring you dont give them 10 pounds and they give you 1 dlc pack)....

If you pay for VIP access, all DLC including track pack, i think were still talking close to 30 pounds which i think is expensive for what 50-60 cars and 2 tracks.

T10 can't win, but they could do themselves some favours. I don't moan about the car packs as on the whole I like them and i've bought everyone one, but I do hope they continue to release packs with a theme, like the last Exotics pack they could do a group B hero's pack, 80's touring car pack, big block bruisers etc etc instead of (IMO) a pack full of wishy washy cars like a few of the first ones were. Here's hoping they've cottoned on to something decent and run with it.

There has not been a DLC pack yet that i didnt think was worth the money when I bought it. The only one I think wasnt worth the money now was the Nurburgring GP, and thats because so few people have it.

I really think when they do a circuit DLC they should include some new championship races as well that make use of the new track (maybe a new column in the grid section?), I downloaded that track but rarely use it which is a shame because it a great circuit to drive.

599xx - Amazing thing to drive, Almost as fast round a track as the FXX but way looser at the rear so more of a challenge.
Porsche Panamera - Love it or hate it this car is serious fun round a track, very capable but at the same time a nice challenge to drive really quick due to it's weight.
LP670-4 SV - Best sounding car in the game. Period. Laugh out loud noise from this thing. And So good to drive, really planted and so bloody fast.
SLR stirling Moss - Spends pretty much every lap as sideways as you want it, Which is Nice. Sounds awesome too.
R35 GTR - Very quick, understeers from standard... until you realise the speed you are carrying into the corners. Bit of tuning to dial this out and it's much fun indeed.
458 - Very, very good, but not the best car in the pack.
XFR - Good fun.

Your fiver would be very well spent on this pack!

+ as many as it takes to get him to buy it. Hot holidays and exotics are the best packs so far.

Got both of them, the ferrari 458 is hard to get out of control for a s class car, really have to want to crash that, handles so well for a rwd, and has a handy 7th gear for speed.
