Mark Adams chip/heavy clutch questions?
Discussion
Hi All,
Have my car booked in for a service and brake upgrade in April but I am also considering the following,
1. New Clutch as mine is particularly heavy, having compared with some other 5L Chimaera's on Sundays Brighton Burble meet (excellent day btw- well done those who organise these things). Question is I have only been told by one TVR dealer that a new clutch will be lighter - it is not slipping and therefore it would be a complete waste of cash if it didn't improve the weight. Any other experiences or remedies for heavy clutches?
2. Mark Adams Chip as car is not exactly smooth in traffic and feel that this should improve drivability. Any first hand experiences and what is the insurance situation as I would be suprised if it would increase the BHP over the factory claim in the manual so technically is it a performance enhancement over standard?
All advice would be much appreciated
Thanks
Simon

Clutch - might be the master/slave cylinder/actuation arm being bent - may not need a full clutch change. Def get it looked at by a specialist for diagnosis.
Chip - oh yes, major difference to driveability usually, yes, more power/torque, but the driveability is the most noticeable difference.
