I've just received an email from them replying to an enquiry I sent. At the bottom of the email, it said:
By texting 'HERO' to 60999, the user will automatically donate £5.00 to Help for Heroes.

(More info here: http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/donations.html )

So if any of you are feeling generous...

I personally think this is a great charity, my family has done quite a bit with them.

My Mother did the cycle around the north of France around all the battle sites and grave yards. She did it with a few wounded troops, one of them had no legs so was on one of those arm bikes, can you imagine doing 80 miles in a day on one of those. Simply incredible.

Hats of to them!

Crikey. Yes, definitely a good cause. I've been known to donate to them. Am buying some things from their online shop.

We are hosting a clay pigeon shoot near Edinburgh on the 19th of June to raise cash for Help for Heroes. Details are on the SCTA website if you would like to join us or make a donation.

We have some great prizes for what promises to be a great day out!

If you sell on EBay you can donate a % of sales to them, and get a credit on this for fees.

Just a pity it takes a charity to try and undo some of the damage Bliar and Brown have done to our young heroes......

to be fair, standards of welfare for the armed services have been below what should be offered for a lot longer than Brown and Blair were in power....
