BMW E46 '05 2.0D coupe - opinions

Im in the market for a new car and have come across several of these which are in my price range. Ill be looking at one with around 75k on the clock, FSH and hopefully one careful owner.

Is there anything to look out for in these cars? It will be used for motorway commuting so frugal & reliable are important. Thanks guys

The rest is the kind of stuff most cars throw up, frankly, and my E46 hasn't had much of it.
