My pride and joy 205 gti has developed an aesthetic problem, the rear arch on the passenger side has a crack about 5 inches long. Usually this wouldn't be a problem but the bodykit has been all smoothed in and moulded together, basically one part gets damaged the whole kit is in danger. I've had a few suggestions to solve this and the one that sounds the best atm is to put a strong bondant in to hold the crack, put filler over it, then paint over it. I'd like to hear if anyone has any other suggestions to solve this problem? Cheers guys!

If you drill a small hole at the end of the crack that will
stop it spreading, then like you said bit of splodge etc, beer

Yeah that was the previous owner that showed it, right now its gonna be slightly hired, have the boot build stripped and be caged. And the guy that said it looks like it could be quick was spot on, rapid acceleration from the 2 litre engine, twin 45's etc all running a 1.6 gear box!what fun

Yeah, all those 'modern' 106s, which came out 17 years ago and were sold alongside the 205...

The best way to get rid of the crack is probably to pull the whole body kit off and put the original bumpers and arches back on. Then, if you keep it in good original condition, it'll be an appreciating asset as well as a fast and fun car smile

My bad saxo's and 106's weren't a good example for my point, and i accidentally combined two points in one, what i meant was atleast it isn't the common 'boyracer' car you see i.e corsa's, saxo's, 106's that sort of thing. The other point being no power steering, ac, all basics, just you, the car and the open road. And yeah i know where your coming from but i like it being different to most 205's, and whether for good or bad it allways gets looks and i get random people wanting to buy it wherever i go. cheers tho
