Hi Chaps,
Just a small post about which drivers have impressed in an all round capacity this year, quali, team spirit, race pace, etc.
I think for me, the stand out driver so far is Jenson. Up against LH he is doing well, he is pushing the team, doing decent enough in quali and driving very well in the race.
Mr Webber and Kovi deserve a shout as well.
I think the worst has been Alonso (seriously), too many mistakes, and his team spirit seem to have eluded him, again.
Hopefully this does not spark off any nasty debates!

Jaime has impressed. Because he seems to have stepped up his game far higher than Buemi, which wasn't the case last year.
Karun has regularly beaten Bruno this year despite not being hyped up at all like Bruno has. He has got on with the job and has been possibly the nicest bloke in the paddock this year.

Heikki seems a different person this year, so upbeat and gung-ho. I wonder if he sees his time at Lotus as a real opportunity to create and mould a team around him, on a smaller scale to Schumacher/Ferrari. He seems to be enjoying his racing and I bet the knowledge he's bringing from McLaren is invaluable to the team......
I agree about Kubica too - he's doing a great job.
Can't work out what is going on with Rosberg though, at the start of the season I thought this was going to be his year in terms of a win or two but he's going backwards now.......

I'll second Sebastien Ogier.
To win in the junior team, after less than 20 WRC events, beating the 6 time world champion on merit deserves credit.
It's certainly more than Dani Sordo has ever done.
Let's not forget that with maybe a bit more fortune he could have won the event previously aswell.

Heikki seems like a great bloke to have for a new team, consistent, quick, always happy, great attitude. I hope he sticks with lotus for a few years and progresses up the grid, perhaps even get thier first podium?
Kubica, Webber and Button have all had good starts to the season.
Vettel and Alonso have performed below my expectations so far.

I'd agree with that list, adding Webber, but I feel Bruno has done just as well as Karun so far. Karun has done better in races but with the reliability problems of the car it's pretty much pot luck atthe moment, and I believe it's 5-2 to Bruno in qualifying. Also, it is not Bruno's fault that he has been hyped up to the heavens... and I think he's handled the Senna nonsense with grace, maturity and good humour- it can't be nice to finally get to the grid and no-one wants to talk about you.Robert Kubica

Yes, I would rate Hamilton like that. I didn't think Hamilton would walk all over Button as the thinking was pre season, but I didn't think Button would be ahead in points, led the championship before Webber took the lead and got 2 race wins in at this stage.

Webber for the obvious reasons but Kubica for doing a sterling job in, lets face it, a car that at the beginning of the season was looking unlikely to reach the grid, nevermind be competitive. Petrov is starting to improve and I think he will bloosom into a darn good F1 driver before too much longer
Button I think has done a great job in the face of all the critics saying he was a flash in the pan with his WDC last year - he has really taken it to Lewis and last week's overtaking scrap shows how awesome they both are.
Biggest dissapointments so far go to Schumacher and Vettel. Schumi just hasnt done what we were all hoping he would and seems to have mellowed somewhat (cheeky alonso overtake notwithstanding!) and for me, Vettel just hasnt impressed as much as Webber with his consistency, drive and maturity. He has a long way to go yet I think

You were doing ok until you posted this nonsense. How could Nicole be the downfall to Lewis's career exactly? Never did him any harm when he won his title in 2008. Enlighten us please. And while your at it, Buttons now EX-Girlfriend had been to every race this season so what makes his approach so much cooler as you put it?

If that were the case, LH would be ahead in the WDC. Storming though the field, passing cars left, right and centre is exiting stuff, but he shouldn't have been at the back in the first place. Although the team made some bad calls, to think that LH as a driver couldn't have influenced those decisions would be nieve. That is why my money is on JB for WDC 2010.

Both have suffered from mechanical issues (Lewis's wheel, Jenson's intake cover, etc), but ignoring the herd results, in outright driving terms, I personally think it's safe to say that Lewis has out-driven Jenson so far....
