Griffith to be snubbed for brides satisfaction
Discussion
Well, I'll be off to the Italian lakes later this year on a driving holiday for our honeymoon.
We'd discussed the holiday for weeks and decided to take the car.
I have had some great images in my head of razzing through Europe in the Griffith with the sun on our heads.
After chatting about the holiday last night, I felt compelled to confirm that we were in fact going in the Griff.
"No, I won't feel comfortable in it for such a long journey."
WHAT?
How do I explain this to my beautiful car?
I need some quick replies to this rejection of pure driving pleasure.....

I have done 3 europe hols in the TVR's so far and I wouldn't dream of going in anything else.
I can't fault Mrs Fish.....This is our third Eurotour -We are doing Le Mans, down to Geneva, across to Bologna, back up through Switzerland (St. G.Pass), Germany (Nurburgring), Bruges and home to bed....15 days, 2,300 miles and I can't wait....
.........doesn't quite float your boat in an Audi!!!!
We have done several long touring holidays in the Chimaera. You simply MUST take your Tiv.
Tell your Mrs from me - the scenery in the mountains simply cannot be appreciated in a tintop in the same way as your view is restricted so much in comparison to glorious roof-down motoring.
And besides - Tivs ARE comfortable in long journeys. Why on earth does she think she won't be comfy? The seats are great!

Make the Audi break
Yes! thats your answer!
The Audi will get you to your holiday.
The Griff will make getting there the best bit of the holiday! Imagine the scenary with the roof down.
My girlfriend WANTS me to buy a Griff for touring Europe in. We are planning Italy at the moment.
Guess I can consider myself lucky (well not that lucky as I still dont have a Griff!)
You are going to a beautiful country with beautifull weather and you have a beautiful car to do it in - and she wants to take the Audi?
I can guarantee that if you take the Audi you'll drive around saying "nice country" and be looking forward to the hotel. In the TVR you'll be driving around going "WOW, WHAT A GREAT PLACE" and not wanting to get to the hotel 'cos that means the day is nearly over.
I certainly did when I took my Griff to the south of France last summer.
