And because Hollywood has no new ideas it's being remade - http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/498269/logans_run_...

This and hearing that Rose McGowan is favourite to play Barbarella in a remake of that gets and serious facepalm moment.

Ps Crow remake, another Spiderman roboot and Jack Frikkin' Black as Gulliver in Gullivers Travel, barrell bottom scraped through, working on the floor.

Coming back to this point about it being a bit early for boobies, I can remember when Ryans Daughter was shown for the first time after 9.00pm with warnings about adult content every ad break. Now shown uncut on BBC2 on a Sunday afternoon.

By the way, it's never to early for boobies. cloud9

Barbarella .... anyone seen a working orgasmatron? And "Dr Duran Duran?" Great film, Rose McGowan is good on the eye, but ... WHY????

Saw about the proposed Crow remake. Thats an even bigger why? Let Brandon Lee rest in peace, ffs.

Hollywood is all about "reboots" these days.

I do. I remember loving it...I was young and also loved Buck Rogers, there were tonnes of sci-fi shows back then. Battlestar etc, Star Wars really let the lid of people wishing to cash in.
I remember loving the show but caught an episode a while ago and was disappointed. I remember watching the film after first enjoying the series at a young age and being confused by it all, I expect the series was based after the film?
In Planet of the Apes they just ignored the film and frakked it all up proper style.

All those sci-fi shows still have a special place in my heart though cas it reminds me of being that little and loving space stuffbiggrin

As for remakes/reboots, I only just thought looking at Logans that it could be remade, with gritty updated feel. Spiderman is pointless though, there were some ace films just yesterday.

I saw the series before I saw the film so you can guess I was a little disappointed they didn't have the hover car in the film, I liked that.

Dear. God.

Although we had thought that "The Island" was a remake of Logan's Run, with a bit of "Spares" (if you've read it) thrown in for good measure.

The Book is a lot better. The whole world is the setting, (although the story stays in the US), and there are some interesting backdrops to the action. The Gun is multi function too with "ripper" and Tangler" rounds used.
