It's clearly a good day for some long range missile testing!

As far as I can see, Israel has 4 options

1) Let it through (possibly having tried to board it and failed)
2) Board it and divert it as per last time
3) Disable it and tow it (torpedo/shot to the rudder anyone?)
4) Sink it

What do people think? We should start a poll....

Anything other than rolling over and letting it through will have exactly the effect that the activists want - bad press for Israel. But, given what we saw on 'boat 6' Israel would be right to suspect the contents, so why risk their troops in close combat?

Can't they just sink it and claim it was an innocent accident? Worked well with the USS Liberty.

It's getting silly now - the ship owners are just goading the Israelis by admitting they have banned materials on board. This won't end nicely for the 'peace activists'.

This stuff makes me laugh

Unless the Israelis are occupying North East Egypt then Gaza isn't blockaded.

Don't the Israelis control the southern Gaza strip border?

Israel-Gaza Strip barrier
Main article: Israel–Gaza Strip barrier
Between 1994 and 1996, Israel built the Israeli Gaza Strip barrier. The separation barrier was first constructed to improve security in Israel. The barrier was largely torn down by Palestinians at the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Intifada in September 2000.[16] Between December 2000 and June 2001, the barrier fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel was reconstructed. A barrier on the Gaza Strip-Egypt border was constructed from 2004.[17] There are three main crossing points in the barrier: the northern Erez Crossing into Israel, the southern Rafah Crossing into Egypt, and the eastern Karni Crossing used only for cargo.[18] Israel continues to control most of Gaza Strip's land borders, as well as its territorial waters and airspace. Egypt controls Gaza Strip's southern border, under an agreement between it and Israel

Fair enough, I thought the Israelis still had checkpoint etc on the Gaza side.
