I've got a question!

Can I take on of those old Mclaren F!'s off your hands that you have gathering dust in your attic, I thought it would make a great garden feature....honest!

Racing, Automotive, Electronics, Marketing, Applied Tech (CF) or Absolute Waste (Catering) ?

(To summarise: Many moons ago. Strange old place. Some cool guys still working there though. Some of the guys I knew I wouldn't let put air in tyres!)

Actually not car related. I want to try and organise a visit to the building for my company and client to have a look at how the building as a campus functions as it is an interesting precedent and is similar to what we are trying to achieve.

Not sure if anyone could help.

Thanks

There's a few who are PHers - but don't expect them to come forward.

Why not post your question here, as we might be able to help wink

Call the Mcl group main phone no. and go from there (01483 261000).

You'll have no chance if you try to get in contact with Racing or Automotive as they will think your just looking for a jolly.

I was there until the end of last year.

I don't think they let groups in on tours.

Theres more than a few!

Walking round the offices, I saw tons of people on PH, and spent a small amount of time on there myself.

It is pretty unlikely that you will get a factory visit as Partners pay a privilege to enjoy the factory etc.

You will need to contact McLaren Marketing. PM me for a name....I used to work there!!!

Yeah been in contact with them - many of my friends work there, but they are unable to help as it was completed so long ago none of the team working on it still work at Fosters. They advised contacting Mclaren directly. Just thought I might have better luck if I had a contact rather than a cold call to ensure that they do not think we are coming on a jolly.

Thanks

I think what you are doing is unlikely to get much of a response from McLaren. The factory is closed to the media, non partners and visitors. McLaren are not great at sharing their 'uniqueness' with anybody unless they have something to gain, media coverage they get for free.

Other businesses may be more helpful but F1 is a closed shop.
