No TVR dealers in Wales
Discussion
Newtown Motors were not listed as a dealer in the EVO edition that had the write up about the Sagaris etc. They have not had any 2nd hand TVR's since January. I heard that Evan Williams Jnr, the Hyundai dealer on Cowbridge Road East wanted a franchise, but apparently they were not happy with organising track days as stipulated by TVR.
You are right - according to the TVR website they are now only listed as a 'service dealer'.
I wonder why? Evertime I went in there they wouldn't shut-up about TVR's and it seemed like selling them was their dream jobs.
Atleast it gives opportunity for a dealership to open up in Cardiff - something we've been needing badly

I went there recently when searching for a Tuscan. The showroom was full of MG's , and only 1 new 350 and one second hand Chim(I think). They explained to me that they simply weren't shifting enough new TVR's to keep the business viable. My understanding is that they will still continue to service TVR's and will look to move into the "upmarket" used car sector , which I presume would include TVR's.

Merlin TVR?
Could be a number of big Cardiff dealers up for it, whether any of them can make a go of it is another things...
Merlin Cambria first lost the Ducati francise, then the Porsche. I hope they don't get the TVR francise!
Although they do still have the Land Rover francise... so they'll have no trouble with the V8's
Anybody tried Williams(?) in Bristol? They do Lotus as well I believe.
I heard they kicked Ducati out as they needed more space for Porsche (the two were seperate companies trading under one roof) even though Ducati was turning over a nice little profit.
Glad they lost the Posrche franchise - they were arrogant little trolls and it has made way for a far superior dealership.
Does anyone know of an existing TVR seller looking to expand?

You could try David Hendry in Malmesbury. I had a look round there before and they seemed okay. Don't know what the general consensus on them is though.
I just looked at the dealer locator on the TVR site and it isn't showing Williams in Bristol as a dealer anymore either. Are they still operating?
