need to buy an old big car this weekend and can go and see an old 525 auto lreg get for 7-8 hundred or a couple of old 850 2.5s autos mainly.will be doing 40 miles a day to and from work on a3 but need big space.i know both cars are potentially risky with auto boxes.just never had a volvo before.i know both are pretty juicy.i cant decide.i have to buy one before monday for work.your input appreciated. bmw has service history and so do most of the volvos.justin

Volvo without a doubt, have had T5 and T5R, you might find the former for your budget, you can have fun too

Buy whichever is in the best condition. They're not exactly going to be minters for that money and you haven't got time to view hundreds of them in search of a bargain. Having said that, there's no reason why you shouldn't find something perfectly serviceable as long as you buy with your eyes open.
