Multi-tasking...

I've just seen a girl walk past our house texting with one hand and bouncing a basketball with the other. She was probably about 13.

I'm 20 and can't even text and walk at the same time.

How do they do it...?

It's the ones that can text without looking at the phone that you've gotta worry about, they think it means they can drive at the same time

I know guys who can multi-task (I'm one) and girls who can't, so I think it isn't an exclusively female thing.

I spend ages arguing with the 'phone when I try and text, it gives me the wrong words, then I delete something, or forget to put a space in... I have friends who, after I've spent 10 mins typing a text, have a reply to me within about 3 seconds (you know, 10-20 word reply) - I have no idea how they text that fast.

But I can multi task to a degree, but my OH can't!

Does typing,talking to customers and looking at PH classifieds at the same time classed as multi tasking? if so i can do that but can't text and walk

My ex sometimes used to text if it was urgent whilst on the phone to me.. Should have heard the buttons go, even I was suprised and I can text quickly!

Its a fair bit harder on the iPhone though with chubby thumbs.

Yep, I've got two female friends who text about as fast as I can type I reckon, it's like watching fastest finger first on millionaire the speed they go at...

I can read the paper whilst sat on the throne - that's multi tasking as far as I am concerned.

I can type a text and walk at the same time, with out looking at the phone.

Id say i normally get 90% of it right, its easy if you have the right phone/know the opperating system well/use predictive text/send too many texts.

This is why txt spk is what it is. I mean the bit where every single word is a typo. In fact, I'd bet that 80% of messages in txt spk have a meaning entirely unrelated to what the sender wanted to say.
