Problem! Brake master or Servo??
Discussion
Whilst out in the car the last couple of days i have noticed that when i come to a stop and have my foot on the brake pedal it slowly starts to sink. I can pump it back up. And then it gradually starts to sink again. Driving the car and braking while on the move doesnt present a problem. But whilst stationary at lights etc it will sink.
Obviously seals are being by-passed somewhere but on what??

I took the wife's Toyota for a cervix the other year and some baboon bled the brakes, they havent been the same since, the f
king muppets. Apart from being spongey, they will also sink slowly (very slowly) if held on the pedal.
I would give them a good bleeding before coming to any conclusions.
Hardened rubber seals can also give pedal sink with low pedal pressure but even the weight of your gay foot should be enough. If you press it fairly hard does the pedal still sink?

No! It acts normal even with the my fairy footsteps. But when sitting at say a set of lights. It will slowly start to sink. But not right to the bottom.

There are a couple of basic checks you can do before stripping things.
With the engine off pump the brake pedal until hard & then hold the pressure for a couple of minutes, if the pedal sinks then you have a possible master cylinder/leak issue. To test the servo, again pump the pedal until hard, keep the pressure on & start the engine, the pedal should creep away from you as the servo assists from inlet manifold pressure.
The brake fluid may be a contributing factor certainly if it has not been changed in the last two years as you may have a build up of water in the hydroscopic fluid.
