It's a very satisfying experience getting things in the post, you know theyre coming, you know what they are cos you ordered it, but it still feels like Christmas.
This week I have been overjoyed at:
Big television
A 5mm combo spanner
Billet steering arms for an RC race car
Adjuster rod for power steering pump for s 944
What will Santa/Postman bring next week
Anyone else have a mini Christmas?

Two cheques.
One is the return of a fine that my wife paid in error to baillifs who called. Princely sum of forty pounds for a speeding ticket, where as usual the police and courts have totally messed up the paperwork. (Fairly normal set of events in NZ).
The other was a hundred pound VAT refund, and as it was a refund it wipes out the hundred pound penalty for not filing it in time!

On Wednesday, I had a new hot-air soldering iron arrive (yay) and also a letter from the tax office saying that they were going to take just over a grand out of my account (boo).
Which, when I got my bank statement on Saturday, I realised I'd mis-read and they actually put just over a grand into my account (yay).

how?You know how it is, you hand your couple of quid / fiver over, fill in the stubs for form's sake and wander away considering it a donation to whatever cause. Just have to arrange to be in UK that weekend now. Probably will work out an expensive prize all things considered but stuff it, now have a good excuse.
