Just got the car out to go to a meet and the car stalled, (due to the slave cylinder) but on start up the car is missfiring and smoking badly, the boost gauge is all over the place, was fine before stall, any ideas?????

Paul,

Check the pipe under the throttlebody. Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere.

Rear bank is definitely out, just pulled the connectors off the rears and made no difference to the running, can’t find any loose pipes

All sounds most odd. Not sure where you mean when you say where I connected? Do you mean with the ECU lead - then nothing will be affected by loose wires there. However, if you mean at the boost solenoid, then, potentially, yes it could be affected, but not to lose a whole bank.

If there are definitely no air leaks (boost guage seeing vacuum) then can you rev it up a bit to see if it clears?

Paul, as Trevor say's suspect the rubber elbow has blown off under the throttle body, also there is a spare wiring connector in that area that is not used.

If that's not the solution then call me as I've seen something like this before.

Hi mate, yes we've removed found middle plug bent. Clened and tried, still the same, revomed and the middle is bent again, when running feels like its sucking one side of the exhaust side and blowing fine the other?????........Looking into the cylinder we can bits.....not good, what should I do??
