I've just had a read of James Foxalls motoring column in the NOTW, he'd reviewed the C30 polestar thing and the estimated cost was only £35k, I'm sure the PH article said it was quite a lot more than that? Any ideas? If true for the 405bhp and 4 wheel drive it seems not bad value compared to the Focus RS.

"I'm suddenly acutely aware that I'm driving a 130,000-euro one-off prototype"

£35k? Not in a month of Sundays.

According to Auto express £35,500.

I think it was the prototype that was £110,000

I think that number is just Auto Express picking numbers out of the air again. Just like at school when you reckon you can make a V12 quad turbo 4x4 spaceframe machine that will do 250mph for a grand. What they would like it to be, and what it would be, are two totally different numbers.

Autocar said it would need to sell at £40,000 to make a profit.

Did I read that the engine came from the Focus RS? I thought it came from the Volvo T5.

Autoexpress figures are about as reliable as Winkys accounts for the past 13yrs.
