I have about 70 DVD's to get rid of
Discussion
Where can I sell them? Most of them are movies but I have a couple of box sets like Band of Brothers, Star Wars Trilogy, Peep Show etc. I want to clear up some space and ideally make a few quid out of it aswell.
I had a look at that music magpie site but there's mixed reviews of them online - people not receiving their money or it taking forever to get the cheque, etc. The majority of my dvd's are coming up at about 30p each. I'm not expecting mega money for them but it does take the michael a bit. Plus in their T&C if they're not happy with an item for any reason they keep it and don't pay you anything. Plus they make it clear they'll charge 50p for anything that's a bit scratched. Another thing is their website seems to be intermittent. It's bad enough having to type in 70 barcodes but when every other one tells me that "the website is experiencing high traffic, please try again later", it gets very old very quickly.
Then there's ebay - listing + paypal fees will totally negate the value of my dvd's unless I sell them as a job lot? It's a pretty mixed bag though and I'm not sure who would bother to buy them off me.
Finally there's the places like CEX on the high street but every time I've been in there it's queuing out the door. I also don't fancy trying to lug 70 dvd's around with me and then wait for someone to scan them all individually only to offer me a few quid. Prices on their website range from about 10p to £4 for dvd's.
Anyone input on this?

Unfortunately I can't register on there as I've only got a gmail account!Nickyboy said:
I'd go with sticking them on eBay as a job lot, you can send them via Interparcel.com for not a lot. People do buy job lots regardless of what is in the collection. You should get close to £100 as they are.
Just had a look at some of the ebay auctions for dvd's, people seem to be getting a decent amount, like you say about £100! I'd be seriously happy with that. I think I'll stick em on there and see what I get. If I get someone to collect them then I can have cash and paypal won't take any of my money

Yep can recommend Amazon.. have sold lots od dvds on there. You might be surprised by what you can get for them .. plus it doesn't cost anything to list them .. you cant lose! They just take their cut when it sells and pays you the money straight into the bank the next month.
I did check it out but it seems like a lot of hassle to post each item individually. stefd said:
