Ladies Hybrid - Carrera Subway Ltd?

Hi,

My wife wants a new bike, and we had a look in our local Halfords and she liked the look of this:

Would this be a decent buy, or would it be better to go for a name brand from the likes of Evans?

She also liked the look of this on the Evans website:

The bike will only be for occasional use, holidays and days away with the family - e.g. last week we cycled round Loch Katrine in the Trossachs, so mostly on quiet country roads or trails (not serious off-road stuff).

Out of those two I'd go for the Subway. Nothing wrong with Carrera bikes as long as you drop on a Halfords that knows how to put it together.
