hi as the heading states i have just bought a soarer. going to put it through a full service first off and then see what needs replacing. goal is as much bhp without ruining handling or spending huge amounts.

i have heard they are easy to tune for more bhp and they share the platform and drivetrain of the supra. looking at taking it the ring which is only 4 hours from my place of work right now but when i am home it will hopefully see donnington and anglesey too if i am lucky.

Didn't EVO run one of these as 'Dogzilla'?

In answer, normal tuning of air filter, exhaust and chip will work.

I ran one of these for a bit, bloody loved it.
Did a few mods to mine, mostly as follows -
Decat
Air filter
Aftermarket boost control
Front mount intercooler.
You can't 'chip' or remap the ECU I don't think, but there's loads of room to safely up the boost. I used a AVC-R which held boost rock solid.
Pulled like a train and was proper rapid in a straight line @ 1bar, wouldn't have wanted to take it on track with the standard suspension though, was a bit wallowy! Coilovers are a must if it's going on the ring I would say.
Still miss the old thing though.
