Mercedes-Benz Sunday Service 2009

PistonHeads is pleased to announce the first of the Sunday Service meets to be held at PH favourite, Mercedes-Benz World, on 27 June.

As per usual the 'gates' will open at 9am and, while the PistonHeads meet will wrap up at 1pm, the venue itself will remain open so you can stay for as long as you like. As it's summer we will be using the large grass area to the right of the building as you approach and this means we'll have more parking capacity than we usually have at Sunday Service meets and can accept upwards of 400 vehicles.

The usual Sunday Service rules apply. Turn up, park your car, get a coffee and some breakfast, meet other PHers and enjoy their cars.

Mercedes-Benz will be providing the catering using their in-house facilities and, in addition to enjoying the hundreds of PHers' cars parked up in the sunshine (fingers crossed), you will be able to enjoy the displays within the MBW facility. this includes the new classics section, and we'll also have live driving displays taking place alongside the PH parking area.

Please help us to make this event as well organised as possible by adding your name to the list if you plan to come along on the day. We are blessed with a large amount of parking space at this venue, but we still like to have a good idea of what to expect on the day.

To avoid previously seen problems incurred by adding names to a list on the forums, this time we ask you to add your name to the event on the PistonHeads calendar instead. All you need to do is follow this link and add yourself as attending using the 'diary' option. This will elminate members having their attendance accidentally deleted by other members and will give a true number of cars coming along.

All of that grass area is ours!

Please note that PistonHeads Sunday Services will also take place in July, August, September and October 2010.

3. or Gaydon also having a Supercar event...

No doubt each will have a reduced turn-out given the conflict in dates, but amazing choice

BTW PH, well done on a much better system for "booking in". The number of numpties who failed to grasp the intricacies of cut and paste when trying to add their names to a forum list always hurt my eyes from rolling them too much...

Had the same issue when clicking on the links in the article. Got round it by doing the following :-

- Go to your profile
- Go to Calender
- Select Pistonheads Events tab
- Select More info
- Add yourself

Worked for me that way but not sure why it didn't work from the article

Just a tip... if you intend to use the upstairs restaurant in MBW, best to get a reervation especially with the numbers expected plus the general public... ypou can also eat across in the Brooklands Musuem or hop along to TESCO's who are in the same vicinity...
