Eurosport TV Coverage - Times & Dates
Discussion
Not seen a thread so far, so info from Eurosport & Oliver gavin website for those of us doing LM at home this year:
Eurosport TV will be covering the full 24 Hours of Le Mans for the 78th edition, plus all practice and qualifying sessions, and then from 30 minutes before the 15.00 CET start right through to the podium ceremonies. A timetable of sessions is below.
British Eurosport’s live coverage will be anchored by Martin Haven, Carlton Kirby and Mark Cole, with Jeremy Shaw, Liz Halliday, Neville Hay and Chris Parsons supporting them, along with guest drivers, team owners and celebrities. There will be full pit lane coverage too, so none of the action should be missed if you can’t be at La Sarthe this year.
Below are the currently-scheduled CET broadcast times – subtract an hour for UK viewing – which are unlikely to change; but as always be aware that Eurosport switches between its two UK channels from time to time to accommodate other sports.
(Note, Eurosport channels and times taken from Sky TV Guide, I don't know why some of the sessions don't fit the -1hr time!?!?)
Wed June 9
16:00 – 20:00 Free practice (Eurosport 2 UK)
22:00 – 24:00 Qualifying 1 (Eurosport 2 UK, 9pm)
Thu June 10
19:00 – 21:00 Qualifying 2 (Eurosport UK, 7pm)
22:00 – 24:00 Qualifying 3 (Eurosport UK, 9pm)
Sat June 12
09.00 – 09:45 24 Hours Warm-Up (Eurosport UK, 8am)
11:05 – 11:50 Group C Legends Race (Eurosport UK, 10am)
14:30 – 15.00 Grid (Eurosport UK, 1:45pm)
15:00 Race starts

Wayney, if you can stretch to £3.99 you can subscribe to Eurosport on line for the month and watch it.
Just subcribed to Eurosport for only £7.50 for the month & no renewal ;-)Wooooo Hoooooo
Will sorely miss hearing the cars scream by this year, but at least I'll watch more than 3 laps of racing as I'm normally too pissed in the Larson Champagne Tent ;-)

Fantasic - I was going to post up the same thread ..
I'm really looking forward to it now.
I was looking with envy at the few posts asking for paying passengers
and thinking of excuses to tell the other half (and knew that none of them
would work
)..
Just ordered a crate of lager from Tesco online and looking forward to
a Le Mans party at home
Thanks for posting up the times

I'm signed up for the month too. Maybe we should start a "Who's a member of the Le Mans at home in the UK club" for this week!

A fine idea... and thankfully someone has done just that http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...R.
