This weekends GP is back in Canada, will Webber bump Vettel off the track, will Schumi beat the young upstart Rosberg, will Button and hamilton be allowed to race each other . . . . . . . . . . . . . all these and other questions will be answered by the end of the week smile

At least the choice of what to eat and drink is fairly simple . . . . pancakes, maple syrup and Molson / Labatts smile

I wonder if we might see the Ferraris make a comeback here.

Hope not and while possible: they have changes afoot... they seem pretty downbeat about it all so I wouldn't expect a big step by them. I could be wrong.

Worth noting that Qually is on BBC2 with only the race on BBC1. Those relying on Sky+ will be disappointed.

How come its in Canada? They have gone Spain, Monoco and then Turky why not do the rest of europe before heading to Canada only to come back?

Unfortunately the Red Bulls seem to be untouchable whatever circuit they're at so I forsee another battle of the bulls up front, with Macca and then Mercedes (and maybe Alonso getting in the mix if they can strap some go faster bits on the ferrari).

So:

Vettel
Webber
Hamilton
Alonso
Button
Schumacher
Sutil
Rosberg
Kubica
Massa

I hope Im wrong!

Red Bulls aren't particularly quick in a straight line and slow in slow corners, so may have trouble from the MacMercs in the section round the hairpin.

As for the Mercedes being up there, they may have a super grunty engine but also the drag characteristics of an outdoor commode.

This has to be a Macca track. Still can't see Button beating Hamilton in a straight fight. I'm expecting the Force India's to be the surprise-ish package.

I reckon Williams will pick up a few points here... their season will (hopefully) start now.

Basically due to weather I think, if they waited until the end of the European season in late September then it would be too cold/wet in Canada. It probably wouldnt save a huge amount of money anyway because they'd still need to come back to Europe before shipping out to the Far East for the following races in Singapore and Japan etc.

Top teams as I see them:

Red Bull: Their brakes seem to have been an issue this season and Gilles Villeneuve requires you to stand on the brakes at about 4 points, expect them to be running ducts the size of the channel tunnel or crap out;
McLaren: Still not as fast as RBR although being very striaght the F-Duct could be a seriously good piece of kit here, the car seems fast enough to keep up with the Red Bulls in race trim however;
Mercedes: If there's one thing the Brawn car does best it's braking, Jenson used it last year and Schumacher this year is able to get on the brakes faster most people, if it stays cool enough expect a dark horse from this lot;
Ferrari: Not entirely sure, the engine isn't as powerful as the Mercs and the car isn't as good as the Red Bulls, solid points probably but they'll have to work for the podium;
Renault: Solid points again and this is one of Bobby K's fast tracks, expect something potentially special from them. Engine isn't the best though;
Force India: Watch this lot, the FI car is quick thanks to the Mercedes lump and Sutil seems to have his tailfeathers on fire!

£10 on a McLaren pole at 6/4, £15 on a McLaren win at 6/5. Pretty good odds I thought!

I was saying earlier to a friend that Red Bull will need MASSIVE brake ducts for Canada, but I think they'll cope..

I also think that Herr Schumacher may do well this weekend, might need another car to break down or stuff it into the wall to make the podium though

red bull are suposed to have the f duct this weekend as well.

i rekon 3 safety cars should make for a good race, so im predicting that schmacher and rosbug to trip over each other on the second restart bringing out the final safety car.....
