Censor is kicking in on the URL - try quoting and then copy and paste into the address bar.

I feel for the guy but come on why would you send somebody that you have only emailed and possibly never even spoken to a 4 figure sum of money?

Exactly!

Always a hard situation buying through the web but you've got to be looking for some guarantee somewhere along the lines - although I'm not entirely sure how you'd do that!

Ad removed from PH, should disappear shortly smile

I do wish people would complain to us directly if they have a problem, as it would help us get rid of any problem adverts faster....

i saw a copy of the ad on scoobynet or whatever it was. the advertiser was not a member of ph. if i was buying from an ad on ph , i would prefer to buy of a member. at least you could look at their posting history to give youn an idea of their character.
or maybe anybody who wishes to advertise in the classifieds needs to be a member for a certain amount of time before they can place an ad?

Cash on pick up from the sellers house?
Normally - yes but when there's a big distance involved like this its not always possible.
BUT - as someone also said on the Scooby board "I can't believe you would send someone you have never met £1400 as a gift rather than spend £100 on petrol and pay cash."
