Add 'build number' column to owners list?

The problem with a wiki is that there is only limited space - which is why we had to split it into 2 lists - once you hit the limit the rest of the list just doesn't appear - though the data is there.
Whats the concensus?
I can pull the existing data out and save it so its easy to put back again if it doesn't work.
Are there any fields that can come out / aren't really being used?

Isn't it the last four digits of your chassis number? If it is that I'd see as a problem.Thoughts?

I can see the danger of making the chassis number of a high volume production car accessible, allowing creation of a clone with false documents. But what could someone use, say a V8S chassis number for - I'd have thought the cost of indicator lenses alone would be sufficient to deter most from trying to building a clone! Or am I missing the point?

Lets just suppose for a moment that everyone does, what does this then show or help anyone with ?The numbers aren't sequential, as they cover all models, they start afresh each year as you say, not all the cars exist any more and not every owner is a PH member, so a 100% picture is unattainable !

It was just a response om my part to a request - and put to the vote it did seem to win favour.
BUT
How about we amend this and go for a year and month of regsistration?
This is the date that is recognised legally anyway - and then there's no need to reveal chassis numbers in any way.

I originally thought that it might be nice to see how the build numbers stacked up against the cars that we have on the forum, purely from a historical point of view. I certainly wouldn't wish to encourage compromising sensitive information. Could someone enlighten me as to how this data, falling into the wrong hands, could be used to cause a problem? Chris' suggestion of logging the build month instead sounds a much better idea, security wise.
If nothing else I've now realised my V8S was built Autumn 1991 and first registered mid 1992.

the new column has also boogered up the format for the S3's at least (on my machine anyway)

Well, this got me thinking so I dug out the old V5 and checked my VIN against the codes listed in 'V8S/S4 Owners List & Other Information'. Let me tell you, those guys at TVR worked like Trojans!
My car's build year is 1992, and it was first registered on 2 Jan 1992, so (unlike Rome) it was built in a day !!! New Year's Day!!!
Hummm... that could explain a few things...
But that's not all - according to the build number they built over 600 other TVR's on that New Year's Day before they got round to mine!!!
How's that for dedication!!!

S3 formatting is already a bit boogered Kev - there's no control over the width of the table - and it ends up slightly too wide for the grey background, worse with another field added
I've reverted the tables back anyway 
I personally think the ringing worries with the chassis number are a bit of an over reaction, but lets just move on.
