Tyre Choices......Tamora

Hi Guys

I have had a Tamora for 2.5 years now, it came with Toyo Proxes on the front and Goodyear Eagle F1 on the rear, odd but seems to work ok.

Last year had a replacement set of fronts and stuck with the Toyos, now need rears and wanted to match up however am told that there are no Proxes in the country. Ok, stick with the F1's, no directional available, only Asymetric. Has anyone experience of the Asymetric vs Directional?

Tyre place recommended Falken 452's Directional.

Has anyone any experience of the above or can recommend alternatives?

Falkens are well known and liked among those with BMW runflats who replace them with proper tyres (on Z4s for example). I run F1 Asymetrics and I think they are better than the original V pattern F1s for normal use. I haven't done any trackdays on them yet though.

Falkens are very good and well liked by many TVR drivers, myself included as I got through 2 sets on my old Chimaera.
I have however, heard very good things about the new asymetric F1s and also the Vredestein Ultra (can't remember the exact model).

Regarding the Falkens and all the good reports they get, I did hear a few people saying that they were not happy with the compound after 12 months or so. Is this still the case or are the 452's really that good compared to The Eagle F1's and T1R's?
