Ive got a guy coming to look at my car tomorrow night. His nephew is watching it on eBay but lives too far away to come round and look so he is going to look at it and call his nephew to see how much he wants to offer. Sounded a little strange to begin with, but kinda makes sense now I've thought about it.

My question basically is, if he comes round and offers me some cash money for my car, does anyone know if I can end the eBay item before it's normal end time and sell the car 'outside of eBay', or would I still have to pay their charges? It is on Freeads and, of course, PistonHeads too so he could well have seen it elsewhere!!

yep believe you can remove the item - have a look in the item options on your account

My line of enquiry was more guided towards what i would do if the chap happened to see it somewhere other than ebay and bought it before my listing ended. I tried google but couldn't find much detail on it!

I think you can end anytime except in the last 12 hours. Obviously you won't get your listing fee back but you won't have to pay a final value fee.

Try to settle outside of ebay if you can. Will save you £20+ in final valuation fees.

That's the plan! Fingers crossed it'll go, got my eyes on a VX220 now so need the funds asap!
