I've had a Nissan Primera 02 Reg 1.8 for 3 years now and can't fualt it at all. What is todays equivelent of a car which is equally reliable.

I haven't had to pay out for anything other than wear and tear and its built like a tank.

Any feedback welcome. Thank you in advance!

Go for an Accord. I've run three from new into 6 figure mileages with virtually zero faults.

That coupled with a ball joint nissan primera failed will end up with some very unhappy buyers.

My boss had the old shape Honda Accord from new till 130k miles (in 3.5 years) and all it needed was a new alternator other than consumables. (2.2 derv). Not bad and echoed above.

Almera.

My missus has a 2001 1.5 S. It hit 90k at the weekend. Up until 85k the thing had 4 oil changes and 3 sets of tyres. That's it. Nothing else.

At 85k it got filters (original air filter lasted 9 years!), plugs (same, original came out), and new discs and pads all round.

Apart from the battery going flat during the snow last winter, it has never given any bother, and not had any work done to it other than what I said above.

Shame it seems impossible to get cars as reliable now, especially considering the total lack of care her car had.

It looks like a rotting subframe will be the eventual end to the car though, there's only a certain amount of rust Vactan and Dinitrol can cure or cover.
