Like many here I'm sure I'm missing out this year for the second year in a row due to financial and timing issues. Gutted doesn't even begin to cover it and looking at the Stickerd Up and Ready to Go posts doesn't help either.
Who else is missing out this year and what's your excuse?
Got Radio Le Mans and Eurosport Player tuned it yet? Tent up in the garden?

I too am missing out this year, second miss since I started going in 1996. Being a Jaguar owner and fan it's a shame I will not be there to see the first Jaguar entry this millenium...but I doubt it'll be in the race for very long!
Signed up for Eurosport player, will have RLM too, so will be all set starting with live TV tomorrow. Should be a great race.
Will be at Le Classic Le Mans in July.

What's really depressing for me is that I'm training to be a teacher at the moment and given that Le Mans falls in term time and holidays are a bit of a no-no after next year I don't think I'll ever get to go to Le Mans "properly" again. I may get the old Friday-Sunday blast down and back for the race type trip but a fully blown week down there like previous trips will be off the menu.
I shall have to locate another event that takes place later in the summer.

Staying at home this year also.
Share really, would have been the 9th year in a row
Anyhow, got a load of mates coming over to camp in my field - with a marquee and TV etc. Barrels of beer....
We will even try to skank it to the "local pub" and also take drunken trips to "Tescos"
Mind you - 11degC max in LeMans? Chilly beans.

Team Peach Melba (Northern contingent) will be missing from Houx this year.
We are going to the Classic then down to Spain for a 10 day pootle around but it doesn't make it any easier knowing the guys are meeting tonight and heading off for the ferry while I'm still in bed tomorrow morning.
Obviously I'm being masochistic and reading all the threads on here. Stupid, Stupid Barreti

Another one who was looking at the stickered up cars thread and wishing that I was going back again. I also found that Radio Le Mans works through our flash new firewall at work though so all is good.
If you are only with radio like me and don't have access to moving pictures there is always the spotters guide to help!

Another one here, stuck at home listening to RLM.
I've just down loaded the club Arnage guide and found this gem
http://www.clubarnage.com/caguide/download.html
UNDERSTEER - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
OVERSTEER - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
HORSEPOWER - is how fast you hit the wall
TORQUE - is how far you take the wall with you

I have never ever been, but got into this race last year, watching eurosport 1 and 2 live all night, the excitement was enthralling, totally opposite to "follow my leader" F1.
Like many i was put on short time at work, then followed by a 20% per month pay cut, until mid-january this year, when i was made completely redundant.I started a new job this week,as i had all intentions of going this year, but lack of funds prevented me , so to say i'm jealous is an understatement, even driving in france would have been a huge buzz for me. However this year i can console myself with a 42" council estate spec tv, with "new improved" eurosport HD and that blonde french totty doing the pit lane interviews again.
