Another MOT pass

Pleased to say after all the hard work that my S2 passed the MOT today...no issues noted and the MOT inspector said it was "like inspecting a new car".
I was worried about the emmissions after all the engine work I have done, but they were lower than last time despite the car not having a lot of use..it's only 400 yards to the test station.
Got to love them old TVRS....now, when is the sun coming back???

My S3 passed its MOT today too!
Took it into my local independent specialist a week ago in preparation for my first MOT as an S3 owner and have had all this done:
Major/12k mile service (at about 68k miles now)
Fitted the new bonnet hinges I bought recently from one of the forum members
Realigned the bonnet as it was never that straight to start with
Valve clearances checked and adjusted
New rocker seals
New rear diff seals
New gearbox seals
Bit of brakeline re-routing
Fitting of a replacement Brake Servo as mine was badly rusted (found on eBay for only £30!)
Welded crack in exhaust (darn those speed humps!)
Swapped front and rear tyres to help even wear
...and a few other niggly jobs!
Annoyingly all that having been done they just phoned to say the throttle idle was sticking high on the road test and that it may be the result of the cleaning done during the service disrupting something. They think they've sorted it but i'll be annoyed if what once ran perfectly has now developed a fault as a result of the service. Any ideas what it could be?
They also said the emissions test shows quite a large amount of unburnt fuel being emitted and that this may require some of the ECU sensors being replaced down the line if it continues to be an issue. Main thing is it passed the MOT so i've got a year to enjoy it again and then plough more into keeping it going!
How I wish I had a garage and the space to overhaul my S from scratch as i've seen some of you doing - would be so good to fully understand how it all sticks together!

The idle speed and unburnt fuel may just be a case of the correct (or not) timing settings... who did this and do you know if the ECU was put in service mode before the timing was set ?
Idle speed could also be the ISCV needing further cleaning (if you have not already cleaned it)
