FIAT JTD Engine Problem

I hope someone on here is clued up on the JTD...

My wife's Multipla has developed a strange problem. It stops dead. Then, after a while after occasional bouts of spinning it over on the starter it will start. There's no real regularity to this. You can hear the lift pump priming and the tank vent is fine. There's plenty of fuel at the filter and if you crack open a pipe to an injector it spurts out.

Any suggestions?

Hey Ryan, thanks for your efforts mate.

I actually diagnosed it to either pump or crank position sensor and price told me to try the sensor first.

All fixed for under £30.
