It seems to be a common problem with "brides to be"
I too suggested "Italian Lakes" or "French Riviera" for the honeymoon
in the Chim which met with much derission 
Mrs Emley won that one... we are going to Antigua (by 777)
So we are getting married in the lakes (Miller Howe on Windermere)- lovely.
"We are taking the car"
"No you are not..."
"Yes we are"
"No you are NOT..."
"Yes we are"
"Where are we going to put the dress, the suit, the flowers, the Westie etc etc..." "You are taking the Mundano" 
"Mmmmm"
What do I do ???

We once toured for two and half weeks around the Isle Of Man and then Ireland in the Chimaera. We had gear for mountain walking, nights out, touring and a Black-Tie dinner in the car for two people.

I agree there would be enough room, we too have jam packed a chim with camping gear for a weeks travelling, but I wouldn't want my wedding dress crammed in there with everything else
Take the Mondano.....
The night before the wedding, when you are seperated, drive home and change the cars over, that way you will have the TVR with you on the special day, (photo's etc).
She won't see you until the Aisle and she won't see the car until after you are married...
You won't have to bring the flowers back and all the relations can take the rest of the other stuff back home....
After all how were you going to get all the presents back anyway...??

I wanted to source locally, but Mrs Emley wasn't impressed with the local florists, and has her heart set on a florist in Sheffield.
I am trying to source a courier for the flowers, to reduce the excuses (May be I could inflict the Westie on the courier too). Hair next, but she would prefer to travel with that, and I want the top down.
As Dusty says, it is the "sense of occasion" I am trying to maintain.

Did not intend "being in a fit state" to drive the night before, but it might be an good idea.
Presents... Debenhams vouchers please, they don't take any room up.

Sorry, but all this waffle about the ladies objecting to your car being used. They obviously don't share your hobby for motoring. In 5 or 20 years time when you're out in the garage tinkering with your pride and joy will they stand it? (IMO better than being a golfing widow). You need to put your foot down - do you let them get their way with everything? I'm sure they chose a lot of wedding stuff so the wheels are a small point. Put your foot down you wimps.

Disable the Mundano the night before, nothing drastic, take the rotor arm out or whip a few HT leads off, just enough so it's going nowhere, then fire up the TVR, repack and away you go
