Did a search; couldn't find a topic like this.

Went all the way back to when I first joined PH on my profile and had a look at my posts. Bear in mind I was 12 (yes, 12), but I'm incredibly disappointed. Here's a selection for you:

which is the better car??
the sagaris is 1 of my fave cars of all time, but the tuscans styling is so perfect that it is swaying me and then theres the cerbera with its huge long body.

which is best plz reply..

best looking car yet???
sorry but i have to dissagree
i must say that the db9 is better looking and infact so is the vanquish although the db7 is a gr8 car

plz reply on which u would say is the best looking aston or indeed car yet
The rest are as bad, or worse.

I even got one of the 'DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?' replies. I am deeply sorry for my 12 year old self's postings here, PH.

If you're interested, the full (embarrassing) selection is here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?mem...

What were yours, and were they as bad as mine?

Yipeeeeee only waited 40 years but at last my own TVR [Chim 400 "N"] and I LOVE IT! I may have removed a least 1/2 an inch of tread from the rear exiting the forecourt (opps forgot it's not a Scenic).
And after hefty research on tyres, hot start, reliability and at least a month of looking at various sites, driving it back from London I almost had to pull over for laughing when upon turning on the lights none of the dash lit up!!
Anyhoo just a question that I am sure has been answered zillions of times where do I get these speed 12 headlights from and how much are they?

Last question when the 'ell is this weather going to clear up as I do NOT want a flat battery.
Got told several times that the switch is by my left knee boxedin

As it has been a nice day today I took the Chim for a trip to the car boot and clear the pipes out
This is one of the first times I have had to give it a run (Only owned it a week). Anyhoo, in first gear at full tilt it seems to die at the top end of revs, is this due to some sort of limiter? it still goes like the clappers but just wondered. Maybe it does in all gears who knows not being brave enough.
Giving it some welly and did not realise that the limiter was so harsh.

I'm not trawling my history on my phone, but I seem to recall mine being an enquiry as to what regulations I'd need to adhere to in order to build a road legal sofa. very ph!

think I then went away for a year before coming back to ask advice on why my clio wouldn't start. been here ever since.

I think mine was one of those rather desperate and sheepish, "I've been caught at 107 in a in 70, can anyone tell me how get out of it" posts in SP&L, sometime in 2004.

3 week ban, 300 fine then 6 years of ranting about every injustice in the world.

I was sure my first post was in reply to a thread about ID cards, but that must have been another forum biggrin it appears my first day on PH was spent replying to a couple of Ambulance-bashing threads in SP&L, and joining in a discussion about parent & child parking spaces at supermarkets...

I'm destined for fame, I can just feel it! rolleyes

Hi, browsed this forum for a while but never posted before.

I spotted a very nice yellow Griff with a very nice Griff plate in Whittington, near Oswestry today. Was it anyone on here?

Mine was babbling about the injustice of a NIP for doing 78 on an empty clear motorway on a dry sunny Sunday morning. I can't say my posting history shows any significant indication of talent or intelligence, though i do have excellent taste in music.

On the original S.Connery joke thread back in 2002

Jinx said:

On a flight from JFK to Heathrow a blond gets up from her seat in economy and promptly sits down in first class. The stewardess, confused, approaches the blond and requests that she returns to her own seat. The blond replies. "I'm blond and beautiful, I'm going to London so I am staying right here."
Annoyed the stewardess goes to the cockpit and explains the situation to the flight crew. The co-pilot offers to sort out the situation and heads to the first class section. "Excuse me miss can I see your boarding pass please" the co-pilot requests. After a brief examination he gives the card back to the blond "I'm terribly sorry miss but there appears to be some mistake, you should be sitting in the economy section. Could you please return to your seat." to which the blond replies
"I'm blond and beautiful, I'm going to London so I am staying right here." The co-pilot angered by her refusal returns to the cockpit. "Captain I think we are going to have to call in the authorities the woman is refusing to listen to reason."
"Don't worry son" the captain replies "I have been married to a blond for 10 years I speak their language, I'll sort it out." The captain then heads back to the blond whispers in her ear and she immediately gets up and heads back to her seat in economy. "What did you say to her?" the stewardess and co-pilot ask. "Oh, I just told her first class wasn't going to London."
Probably only been repeated about 100 times since......

Mine was nothing exciting. Just a simple question on Inspection II on my E46.

Pretty boring really.

Mid-term posts probably more interesting.

Hi, I have a birthday present outstanding and am thinking of hiring a Tuscan for a day from Banbury. Has anyone done this out there or got any comments. I live in Cambs but TVR hire is a bit thin on the ground around here hence the Costwolds and some good driving roads!
And I did, got a Tuscan from Bespokes(it should have been a Grif but that went sick) and spent a day popping and banging around the Chilterns!

Try the Gorge de Vesubie D2565 north of Nice. After driving along the river beneath ovehanging cliffs worried you'll bang the aerial but not caring because the sound is awesome, turn right on to the D70. You might know it better as the Col du Turini...

Heart stopping drops, fabulous views, ultimate respect for the Group B warriors I watched as a kid (actually anyone who's driven balls out along there in pursuit of a stage time). To cap it all the car park at the top was filled with 60's 70's and 80's rally porn - a German historic rally event.

I'm glad I bought the car down here for the winter
