Well, I've gone and done it. It was a bit of an impulse purchase, but the right opportunity had presented it's self at completely the wrong time for me, but what the hell, it's something I've always wanted!

I sold my Cayman a couple of months ago and had decided I would make do with my company car for a while and not suffer the expense of another car sat on the drive; but you know what it's like, a bit of money in the bank and the classifieds is a hard place to stay out of!
I kept looking at 355's because they were the ultimate car when I was growing up, but the mileage I want to do in it and the relatively high service bills put me off, so I started looking at 360's as it was widely publicised as the usable supercar. I really wanted a 'hard-top', non-F1 in any colour except red, so I bought this....

Well 1 out of 3 isn't bad! hehe

I've not had a great chance to get out and drive it yet as I've been in hospital for a relatively minor operation! But I did have a drive in it on Sunday, with the roof down, that noise is just awesome....could maybe do with being a little louder though!

The only thing I have to get used to know is the ridiculous amount of attention cars like this attract, it was a bit embarrassing at the petrol station shortly after I picked it up!!

I'm looking forward to getting to as many meets as I can with it during the summer.....I'm just pleased I finally have a decent chance to post on here, rather than just browsing at everyone else's toys!

p.s. sorry about the pics, they are from my iPhone!

Hey mat,

Looks almost identical to the one I bought in Feb, but mine is the hard top. I really really regret not buying a soft top when the sun is out, but then thank the heavens I bought a hardtop when it's pissing it down. I guess it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Looks great either way and I'm sure you'll have a summer of fun with that baby.

we've just adopted an almost identical car into the fold...although it is a manual with crema leather and no challenge rear grille

absolutely gorgeous car, had never seen one in black before but it really suits....very stylish and quite imposing!

Hey Mat,
you've done exactly the same as me.. I swapped my Cayman in for a 360 Spider about 8 weeks ago. I went TDF blue, with a manual box. Its the best thing I've done. Every time I drive it feels like an occasion.

Yours looks lovely, best of luck with it!

I can't believe how different it is to the Cayman, so much more special in pretty much every way!

I've just got to learn how best to drive it now, I'm worried about eating a clutch in a few thousand miles with that F1 gearbox.
