With summer and sunny weather just around the corner can anyone recommend a good wax/polish for bright pearlescent finished Tivs?

Auto Glym or Meguiars, the best by far. A combination of their other prodcts also works well!

Zymol - I used to have a Grigio Titanium Tuscan and it brought it up like a mirror, it's a bit expensive mind, £35 for a smal tub of finishing wax.

Brother got me some Swissol (www.swissol.com) as a present a year or so ago, managed to get a shine like this with it:

And on our sensible car:

Excellent stuff that has lasted through the winter on my daily driver. Bit pricey though, but it lasts for ages!

For amature stuff, all the mentioned products are fine, they do give an adequate shine, but for professional and show finishes, you need Zaino

Your shiny Cavalier's obscured by some weird shaped/coloured thing.

(Looks lovely)

Zymol is much the same stuff (and pretty much the same price!!) Smells absolutely wonderful too, and you get a shine like this:-

I've tried Zaino stuff, and it's good, and my next one is P21S wax.

Said it before, talk to Pies, he is the Guru of all things shiny. Be very prepared for a long answer, but worth it

I have tried Mer, Autoglym and Zymol.
Zymol won hands down. That and the once over with a clay bar.

The stuff you get from Halfords isn't the same... If you want the super-whizzy, cost-an-arm-and-a-leg-but-well-worth-it Zymol, SportsCarWorld is your man. So to speak.

Zymol, swissol = rip of prices and IMHO overhyped

One of the best and easiest to apply / remove is P21S

Its £15, give it a go before shelling silly money on other stuff

Ive done a review and best place to buy is in the review

Stop wasting money

Its here

P21S is a wax not a polish

Cars should not need polishing every week
