I need to replace the pace RC40 fighters I have on my hard tail. They have taken to surviving one ride after a service which is not so good...
I am based in southern Spain in the sierra nevada currently so the bike which is my spare is used for lots of fairly tough single track and lots of climbing. The frame is a dialled prince Albert so it can take big forks.
I have a Scott genius mc20 for the main bike which has some fox 36 on it which I like very much, but they are not big enough for the dialled which is really looking for 150-160mm of travel
What should I go for?

I think you mean Fox 32s?
You say the bike is a Dialled Bikes Prince Albert well they are rated upto 140mm so a set of 36's would be too long. However, you can get the 36 Floats set to 140mm but that would seem a bit of a waste. Well, you'll be lugging around a lot of extra weight without the benefit.
A set of Rock Shox Pikes or Revelations are worth considering.
If you mean a Dialled Bikes Alpine which is rated upto 160mm forks the Fox 36's or Rock Shox Lyrics.

It is a prince albert, but there are couple of other guys here with them running boxxers with rather more travel than 140mm and doing so I believe with the blessing of dialled as they test for them.
Anyhoo... I want a good pair of 150-160 mm travel strong forks, regardless of what they bolt to..

I've been running 36 Vans on my Prince Albert without any issues and the geometry isn't affected as badly as you would think. In fact it's almost as if the frame was designed with 160mm forks in mind.
When I bought the frame the DB owner Mike did tell me that the PA was never designed to take a 160mm fork and it would obviously put more stress on the front end but did also say that there was no harm in giving it a try. I did and I liked it.
Having said that I'm currently running 145mm coil Nixons which were a cheap ebay buy as the Vans are on my big bike but 36 Floats have just arrived so I need to decide if I'm going to shim them to 150mm and put them on the PA or replace the Vans and put them back on the PA.

I've had quite a few frames from Mike at Dialled!
Prince Albert - A Pike are 140mm Fox 32 Chassis is perfect.
The frame is VERY twangy, they are fab to ride but any bigger is pushing it. 36 floats shimmed down to 140mm could be a goer though (easy to mod the floats).
The Alpine - this frame is the tits. I frigging loved mine. They are indestructable - if you wanna go fast - get one of these with the long TT.
For this bike - get the 36's. Not thr Talas, talas is junk and ruins the damping. Floats or Vanillas. suits the bike perfectly. Absolutely magic bike this was, not entirely sure why I dont own it any more!
