Doesn't need to be rational or anything just the one that plucks the heartstrings most when you think of it.

Mine is Frankie my E34 518i, sure he was slow but he thought me more about coservation of momentum than anything else. I had adored the E34 shape (still do) for years and when I bought mine I found it was all the things I hoped it would be. A competent cruiser and more chuckable than it had any right to be.

The E39 523i SE I bought afterward felt utterly souless by comparison.

ETA: pic (not my car)

My Corrado VR6, hence the user id.
Also miss the feeling of how fast my first 8V MK2 Golf GTI felt to me at the age of 22.

My Montecarlo. It was comfortable, fairly quick, different, quirky, retro and very useable. Though my mate who I gave a lift to work every day still managed to clout his head as he got in.

I miss the pure speed of my old Evo. And the sharpness of the steering.

It was brilliant. When it worked.

Miss my Capri Laser, even though it was just a 1.6, would gladly have another.
Would like to drive the Citroen BX 1.9 GTI again too, remember it being extremely fast but unreliable (was old when I got it).

I miss my RB5WR badly. A truly excellent car of it's time capable of mind blowing speeds around corners and also capable of carrying 4 blokes and all their golf equipment.

Whenever I need a fix I re-read the Evo article in which we both featured biggrin

My old spitfire, it just felt more like my own personal car then anything I've had since...like we belonged together or something. It got rusty and smokey so I sold it.

I had font memories of these two as they were very special to drive.

M3 CSL (had to sell it as it wasn't really suited for using it as a daily driver)

Skyline R43 GTR (sold it because I had found out it had been in an accident before it was imported into England even though I got all the checks done)

two cars immediately spring to mind

214 GUV

1963 Zephyr 4 Mk 3

in black but looked like this

http://fordzephyrsc.com/mk3jeffs4_456x301.jpg

I bought it as I was driving my Mk1 escort (below) like a lunatic and would lose my license but hey I was 20 at the time....

it was slow but so 'cool'. going clubbing in a car like that, column change, bench front seats, fins, chrome, who cares when you are that age it was just ace

1975 Escort MK1 1300GT,
bronze with plenty of decent tweaks, 2000e box, hot kent cam, stage 2 head, twin DCOEs etc.

Loved this car as well but was so young I drove it like I stole it everywhere and that wasn't quite healthy for me or my license.

I had a nice triumph vitesse as well but hey I could go on all night

My E60 M5.....but for high work miles and ever increasing fuel prices...I'd still have it :-(

Pic still in my garage profile...can't bear to remove it!!

Many cars have passed by and nothing for me comes close...

Miss my Alpina D3. Narrow power band aside, it was a very fine piece of kit.
It'll always be fondly remembered as it was the car I used to collect Mrs Drama and our daughter from the hospital when she was born smile

My 1989 Sierra Sapphire I had from new. Polished it every weekend. Kept it for 8 years and 80000 miles. All it used was 1 set or brakes and 2 sets of tyres! Slow/boring but I loved that car!

335d Touring, if there ever was a better all round car than this I'll eat my hat, it went well, was immensely practical and drove superbly, I absolutely loved that car, and I will have another soon

R53 Mini Cooper S Works, this was actually my Fiancees car, but it was an absolute hoot to drive, it always made me smile after a drive, I never ever left that car feeling disappointed after driving it, traded it in for an E46 M3, looking back it was the worst decision I have ever made.

Golf VR6 I had a few of these but my favourite was my silver 3 door with leather recaros, loved that car and spent a fortune on it, sold it to get my R32. I liked that silver car so much I bought it back last year in a bid to return it to it's former glory (it had been abused and in an accident since I sold it) but alas it was too far gone, soooooo when the opportunity came up to buy a silver 3 door with Recaros last week I had to have it!

Saw a Beemer 330 Clubsport today in Estoril Blue and quite missed my old one. They are a gorgeous colour when clean!

E36 BMW 318iS. I bought the first one I saw, and it is still the very best car I've ever owned. 50,000 miles in 2 years, changed tyres and brake pads once and nothing ever broke or creaked nor did it ever fail to get me home.

If the car had had A/C I'd probably have foregone the Honda Civic Type-R that replaced it and it would still be sat outside now.
