hi,
have done lots of searching on here and other forums regarding this, and i know the usual "too expensive for the gains you get" answers, but does anyone have some links to any actual real life NA tuned mx5s? say 170bhp-ish?
the reason for not going FI is due to the engine and gearbox not being in an mx5!
and on that bombshell... does anyone have any links or comments about mounting an mx5 1.8 in something other than an mx5?
and any specifics on how high you can get the compression ratio without changing pistons? head skim, or maybe thin steel head gasket?
last, but not least, for info only what is the diff ratio on a 1.6 and 1.8?
thanks in advance

It's not even remotely a stock engine though. That engine will have cost massively more than even a very top SC or TC system.http://www.xsspeed.co.uk/natuningirtbs.php

at least they should be a handy contact to have
want to stick with NA as would suit the car it might be going in
wanting an affordable rev-able rwd package, without spending £xxx on bellhousings water rails etc conerting fwd engines to weak type 9 boxes
