Heater Problem

I have a slight issue with my heater - the bloody thing is stuck on hot and this is the wrong time of year for that !

I have had the heater controls out and the hot & cold one is stuck on hot and won't move. I have tried to see were the right hand side red cable goes but can't work it out. Does anyone know where that goes to ?

The right hand cable goes to the flapper valve thingy in the heater box, i would be looking at the left one which goes to the mixer valve in the tunnel, you will need to get it on a ramp undo the inspection plate, and see if it moves, I think that there is a plastic clip and it can break.

Thanks for that Adrian, sitting in the car the one on the right is connected to the hot cold mix (left dial) and the cable on the left is connected to vent control (right dial) the vent control flap is located behind the stereo. Does this mean the right hand cable ends up inside the inspection hole?

Same thing happening to mine and i am getting a new valve put into it today. I ended up getting a used one but if i remember rightly they are about £80 new from noble. Its located right in the middle of the car where the wee tunnel is a Adrian said
