There are a few, and the one I can see with those images on, is one that has been established for a long time but PH staff are not the creators or admins of - we support it though.

Although, that said we could be looking at different pages?

You mean to say the picture of the highly amusing cuddly toy in a window with the simply excellent line "If you can read this you're too close to my Beaver" is not PH affilated?

Just saw Garlicks reply, the one I am looking at has the smiley as its profile pic, the wall seems to be mainly people trying to sell fiesta's or bass bins

What would happen in the case of someone naming and shaming via this unofficial group that carries the PH name? Obviously, the PH admin team won't be able to trim and snip.

Would the company in question still have a case against Pistonheads? Or would it be with Facebook, seen as they are the 'publisher?'

The trouble is that most would just come after PH in the first place, and then it would be up to us to prove we are not involved. However, if any of the unofficial fb pages become something that caused us concern we would do something about it. I have contacted the admin of this page about the pictures, and we have asked fb (and other sites) to remove pages (that appear to be official but are not) in the past, with success.

In answer to your question, it would cause us grief in one way or another, even if only in the time it takes us to prove our innocence.

I think the kind of page people 'Like' rather than a group would be a better bet for the official page by the way, I had forgot I'd actually joined this PH group until this thread. As long as you dont go mad on the feed updates it would work quite well. (All in my opinion.)
