Hi All,

Going to Amsterdam next week for 4 nights over the weekend.

Can anyone reccommend a decent bar for Friday night that will have the footy on?

Also, any essential places to visit?

there is a sports bar on the leidseplein. i would have thought the grasshopper on damrak would show the footy, same for any tourist place around the rld, flying pig etc.

some of the traditional brown pubs show football but might avoid it to deter the hordes.

as for things to do,there are many threads on ams, try the search function.

There is a sports bar in one of the Sqaures, i think it's Dam, that has about 40 TV's upstairs alone. When we went last Febuary they had every Premier Leauge game on different Tv's all at the same time.

Bulldog Sports Bar which I think is on the Liedesplien.

Loads of places to watch the football but the best places I can think of are:

Satellite Sports Cafe‎ which is near Leidseplein - I think that what bazh is thinking of.

Players lounge which is on Warmoesstraat - just off Dam square

Personally I would walk slightly further than Damrak onto Rokin and go to The Tara

I think thats the pancake place or whatever its called in leidspielen
