Theoretical Question,

You have to choose a car to drive for time eternal, what would it be?
It has to cover all your needs.
Can be anything, you don’t have to worry about running costs.
Has to be in current production

I’m going for a Audi RS6 avant

Good choice, as is an M5 touring - would satify needs & wants.

Tough.

Id have to choose 535d Sport Touring. Big enough for a family fully kitted out, can do sensible mpg. Then as and when hire a weekend toy for blasts.

Great question. If I don't have to worry about running costs, that's a bit easier. I'd say some sporty 2+2 such as a DB9. Practical enough for a family. I mean a poor family can make do with a Fiesta as a family car so why I'd need a car the size of a transit, I don't know.

Ok but your ideal car would have as few as possible trips to the petrol station wasting time, time filling up time waiting your turn for a pump time awaiting to pay.

Much better to have huge fuel tanks or good economy with good pace to reduce that drain on your life

Defender - I have no idea what life might throw at me so something that can carry lots, tow lots, go anywhere, relatively simple to fix with local parts would have to be my choice.

Classic shape G Wagon. Bigger engined ones are surprisingly quick, well screwed together, doesnt really date and incredibly practical.

What do you mean by "cover all your needs". Am I allowed to hire a vehicle to do stuff like move house?
